This lesson will look at a game where 3 different pawn structures are reached during the middle game. Both the changes in structure benefited white but, he was never able to find a winning plan.

 

One thing to note is the capture of the e6-Bishop with the blockading knight to control the weak light squares around the black king. This can be annoying for black as he has to watch out for back rank tactics.
